02/09/2008 - Stamp duty suspended
Investors in UK property worth less than £175,000 will not now have to pay stamp duty on it for a year, chancellor Alistair Darling has announced.

This means that from tomorrow (September 3rd) until the same date in 2009 the threshold will be £50,000 higher than the current level.

02/09/2008 - Cyprus still flying high as buyer destination
Cyprus has emerged as one of the top buyer destinations in the latest Knight Frank report on global property prices.

While the overall world situation is mixed, with growth falling from 6.1 per cent in the first quarter of the year to 4.8 per cent in the second, eight countries are still seeing double-digit rises in annual property prices.
