British investor hails Bulgaria potential

2008-08-29

A UK investor has hailed the potential of Bulgaria as an emerging market.

Greg Marshall from Solihull told Property Wire that he chose the country because of its developing nature, reasoning that many traditional markets have little or no potential for further growth, Property Wire reports.

Speaking about his investment, he commented: "Making a return from my purchase was also a smaller part of my reason to buy and I rent the apartment out myself through my own website so I am making a return on my investment as well."

Property Wire also noted that there was a six per cent rise in UK buying in Bulgaria in 2007, according to the Association of International Property Professionals.

Philip Howell, partner at law firm John Howe & Co and an expert on Bulgarian property law matters, told Easier.com this week that the country is a good one in which to invest because tourism is strong in both winter and summer.
